Music Monday: Everyday

(Yes, I realize the song has little to do with the post below. But I like the song, and it's my space, dammit. Of course, if you have to choose either the song or the post, read the post, please.)

Everyday.

Every. Single. Day.

It’s a small goal. A humble one. But hopefully one that I can achieve.

I’ve been trying to make a go of it with this whole writing thing, but it has definitely been a struggle for the most part. I have ideas kicking around my head but I seem so scared lately of putting things out there. I might just be a fear of failure, and given how the last three years have gone for me professionally, that fear of failure seems justified.

But with the advent of the latest college football season, and the passing of my 35^th birthday, I feel a somewhat renewed vigor. I’ve been writing a lot more lately, and while it has not necessarily been fiction that I’ve been writing (which was the main goal of this current year), at least I’ve been producing words.

I have been…inspired of late. Now it is time to put that renewed energy into action-for real this time.
 

The task now is to write words every single day. I need to promise myself that everyday I will produce some kind of work. Whether it is college football related, musings on life or other random asides, song lyrics or a story, I am committing myself to writing and then posting/publishing/documenting my work in some way, shape or form.

No more just sitting around and letting things happen. I need to be more active in writing and promoting my work.

Every day.
