Music Monday: "The Rising" by Bruce Springsteen

 13 years ago, they came crashing down.

13 years ago, our world changed.

No matter how hard we try, things have not returned to normal. They never will. The genie is out of the bottle in many arenas, and a return to the world that existed in a Y2K sense cannot happen.

Yes, technological progress has occured, and that is good. Mostly.

The venom and divisions in this country, though, are not.

But maybe, one day, eventually...we can come up for The Rising that the Boss is talking about.

We can dream again...right?
