2015 Valentine's Day Countdown: Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.

The title of the song is from a quote from Snow Patrol lead singer Gary Lightbody's father in reference to a girl.

"You're like a dog chasing a car. You'll never catch it and you just wouldn't know what to do with it if you did."

I've been there. Maybe that's why I connected with the song the first time I heard it.

Or maybe it was the slightly cynical thought in the second verse:

Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

Although the more I think about, that line isn't cynical.

It's actually true.

It's not just words that matter.

Deeds do as well.
