Sometimes, being single sucks.

I know it did back in the day when I was. And this time of year in particular, boy howdy was it bad. Especially as I was making a fool of myself back in high school (sort of) and in college (a lot).

But when you least expect it...when you stop chasing it...it happens.

It's not always a quick explosion. Sometimes it's a smoldering ember that becomes something more, and even if you imagine in your head what you think it's going to be, you're most likely going to be wrong when it does come about.

I don't believe in the stars or the planets
Or angels watching from above
But I believe there's a ghost of a chance
We can find someone to love
And make it last
