2014 Holiday Countdown Song: Mele Kalikimaka by Jimmy Buffet

It’s a bright, Hawaiian Christmas Day.

Okay, not really. It’s a gray pre-Christmas day as I sit and write this post here on the ninth island (which is how  Las Vegas is sometimes referred to).

But the foul, overcast weather we’ve experienced here over the better part of the last two weeks or so served as inspiration for pulling this post up.

Okay, the fact that I am supposed to go visit a tiki-themed bar tomorrow night here in town doesn’t hurt either.

So to get in the mood and feel the spirit of the holidays and imagining the warm sunshine and the blue waters, let’s sing along with Jimmy Buffet as he says “Merry Christmas” to all of us.
